Hello, and welcome to my personal website! Here you will find info about some of my personal projects, which you can browse with the header at the upper-right. As a car enthusiast, these usually end up focusing on how fast I can go for the least expenditure :)
At the end of the day, I’m an engineer, so I like to challenge myself to understand how things work & build them myself, rather than pay someone else to do it. Of course it’s harder and I’ll certainly make mistakes, but we all know that knowledge is empowerment. It should come as no surprise then, that I’m passionate about teaching others and making engineering/STEM more accessible. As such, I’m a firm supporter & user of open-source software and right-to-repair.
Academically, I graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. The experience which shaped me the most by a long shot was founding our school’s FSAE Electric team by converting one of our old Baja cars from ICE to EV (see photo above). In addition, I did undergraduate research in the Hemley Lab where I studied the elastic & structural properties of the Viton copolymer under Gigapascal pressures.
Outside of engineering, I am an avid drummer & percissionist. My favorite genres are fusion metal (Bloodywood, anyone?), math rock (Plini, Polyphia), and bands that are just weird in general (TOOL, KGLW)
Thanks for stopping by, and happy reading!
